This housing facility was constructed to provide more sleeping quarters for mine workers. It is built on a sturdy foundation of concrete bases, trestles, and steel structure. The building is 330 feet long and has a layout similar to a hotel, featuring a central corridor with rooms on either side. Each module comprises four rooms equipped with a single bed, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, a desk, and a closet.

This camp includes administrative offices, a conference room, a training center, a cafeteria, a men's and women's locker room with 430 individual lockers and showers for workers. The purpose of this building was to provide an office for the site managers as well as a transition station for the Bloom Lake mine workers. Located in a remote area, the schedule was a constraint, because the building had to be installed and sealed before winter, but it was respected.
This project sits beside our dormitory facilities at the Goldcorp Éléonore mine. The modules and panels allowed us to complete this massive cafeteria in a short time
Entirely built in the factory, our completely autonomous sanitary modules are delivered ready to use. No connection to the sewage system needed to offer complete men and women sanitary unities. Job sits, festivals, parks, national defense camps, tourist sites, temporary expansions: the possibilities for use are numerous.
8 weeks possible autonomy
A unique concept developed in collaboration with the Technological water centre of the St. Laurent Cegep
A unique and efficient system
Each standard module contains:
Modular bathroom for use on construction sites, remote projects, or even at festivals. This basic module holds up to 500 gallons of black water and 335 gallons of clean water.
This project for our client Rio Tinto involved manufacturing two 99-room wings over 3 floors. The VIP rooms all had private bathrooms. The buildings were installed on site in Newfoundland.
RCM Group was selected to meet Osisko Mining’s housing needs based on the units we had in inventory. We modified our modules in order to construct two 2-story buildings with 90 rooms each and were able to put them up in the limited space available at the site.
Dormitory with shared Jack and Jill bathroom. Room includes a work desk, a 22″ flat screen TV, and a mini fridge. We have several dormitories of this type available for quick installation.
This is a high-end project for our client Goldcorp located at the Éléonore mine in James Bay. The dormitory consists of four bedroom wings with private bathrooms and is one of the most luxurious in the industry.
The modular project for Gold Corp was built to house 184 mining workers. During this project, RCM Group built 90 modules in 2 months. In addition to the 184 single rooms, the camp includes administrative offices, a cafeteria, a recreation center and a commercial kitchen. The modules were transported by train and truck and the installation and finishing were done by our team within 4 months.
Built in 2014 for the Renard project (1st diamond mine in Quebec) of the Canadian exploration and diamond mining company Stornoway consists of 245 modules that can accommodate 534 mining workers: a 300-seat cafeteria with gym and game room (34 modules), 264 permanent rooms (81 modules), 270 temporary rooms (48 jack & jill modules), a reception (12 modules), a laundry room (1 module) and a dryer (62 modules) in addition to the corridors (7 modules).
Modular camp of superior quality, it is a mobile modular camp for railway workers assigned to repairs and alterations.
The camp consists of 3 sleeping cars, 1 supervisor car, 1 for the cooks, 1 for the cafeteria, 1 sanitary car / laundry room and 1 recreational car. This set of 8 wagons can house 21 workers, 4 supervisors and 5 cooks, each with a private room. Each car is fully independent and can be combined with any other wagon thanks to universal mechanical and electrical systems.

This 1,000 room project, built in the middle of the mining activities in Mont Wright, Quebec was realized in less than a year. It demonstrated RCM Group’s know-how in the building and installation of buildings in remote areas. As a matter of fact, the 300 modules were all transported by truck and then assembled in a complex of 10-3 storey buildings; this goes to show that for RCM Group distance is not a factor.
Modular camp of superior quality built in factory in just 5 months for our customer XStata Nickel, for their mine workers in the Kattiniq region of Quebec (1 800 km north of Montreal)
In total, there are 60 single rooms that have been prefabricated for the comfort of the workers. In addition, the camp offers a cafeteria, a kitchen, a recreation center, a dryer with showers and administrative offices. The 50 prefabricated modules were delivered by boat.
RCM Group manufactures modular dries adapted to each mine or industrial site. We are conscious that it is imperative for workers in the mining field to start their day in a dry outerwear without having to travel half of the facilities to gather their equipment.
Our prefabricated dries can have a 15 foot ceiling or it can also be designed for an underground installation. In addition to traditional baskets and hooks, our dries can include changing rooms with individual lockers, common and individual showers, commercial and industrial laundry rooms and even battery rooms, training rooms and offices for the foremen.
This type of building is mostly a custom construction for our customers so rarely in inventory. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
Location: Matagami, Quebec (800 km north of Montreal)

Capacity: 50 people
Located in Matagami, 800 km north of Montreal, our modular dries can accommodate up to 50 workers. Built in factory in just 2 months, this project required 47 modules, which were later delivered by truck to destination to be installed and finished by our team.

Group RCM is well known in the industry for finding fast and efficient solutions for modular camp offices, regardless of the size. In fact, Group RCM offers a wide range of modular camp offices for starting from a simple uni-modular office up to large administration complexes, permanent as well as temporary.
We manufactured and installed a dry facility at Richmont Mine in Dubreuilville. Miners leaving their shifts can dry their work clothes and wash before returning to camp.
